Sifu Peter DeWindt
Teaching at The Pit Camarillo will be Sasaki’s Kenpo’s black belts, Peter DeWindt. Peter has over 15 years experience in martial arts training. Peter started training under Jody Sasaki at the age 12. By the time Peter was 15 he received his title as a Sifu. At age 16, Peter received his black belt in American Kenpo.
During Peter span of training, he has taught people of all ages and all skill levels. Peter’s martial arts back round is not only in traditional American Kenpo Karate, but also extensive training in kickboxing, Muay Thai, judo, and jui jitsu.
Peter DeWindt currently trains under 6th degree American Kenpo black belt Jody Sasaki of Sasaki’s Kenpo Karate Studio in Oxnard, California and under the Pit Master, John Hackleman. He has trained under Rick Metzler, owner of The Pit Malibu.
Peter DeWindt is a level 4 certified instructor under The Pit Master John Hackleman. Peter has been the head instructor for The Pit classes at Sasaki’s Kenpo Karate, an affiliate in Oxnard, California.
Peter is a former active duty U.S. Air Force Captain and has a B.A. in Government which he received at Sacramento State University.
